AlgaeWatch™ Online Fluorometer

AlgaeWatch™ Online Fluorometer
  • AlgaeWatch™ Online Fluorometer
  • AlgaeWatch™ Online Fluorometer
Utilizing advanced fluorescence technology, the Algaewatch™ Online Fluorometer offers real-time algal biomass data with unmatched accuracy and sensitivity. The Algaewatch™ is the ideal tool for water resource managers and scientists interested in real-time monitoring of water quality. Easy to use and install, the Algaewatch™ provides a continual indication of the algal biomass in water, thus allowing for the early detection of algal blooms, detection of nuisance species, and a measure of daily and seasonal fluctuations in the algal community.

Algaewatch™ is an on-line monitor that detects algal biomass through chlorophyll fluorescence. Chlorophyll a, the primary photosynthetic pigment in all plants, is a fluorescent molecule. Where chlorophyll-containing organisms are small enough (as with phytoplankton or microalgae), fluorescence may be measured directly (in vivo chlorophyll detection) without extraction or chemical treatment

Product Highlights:
  • Detect the onset of algal blooms
  • Detect the presence of taste and odor causing species
  • Eliminate or decrease frequency of cell counting
  • Rugged design
  • Improve filter run times
  • Easy Maintenance Design: Clean-out port and brushes to allow simple routine maintenance
  • Optional Calibration Kit: Includes calibration standard and accessories for easy calibration and performance verification
