Instrument Donation Program
Turner Designs developed the Instrument Donation Program in an effort to assist non-profit, governmental, and academic institutions in obtaining instruments needed for aquatic research and/or monitoring. We hope our program will assist institutions with limited funding to continue to conduct research and monitoring.
Who can apply?Scientists, researchers, graduate students, and post docs in colleges, universities, and non-profit institutions working in the field of aquatic science.
Not Qualified: Competitors, suppliers, dealers and institutions that have previously received an instrument donation. We cannot ship or donate to countries listed on the US trade embargoes list.How often are instruments awarded?We will award two AquaFluor Handheld Fluorometer/Turbidimeters each year – one in July and one in December. Application deadlines are June 1 and November 1.
How are recipients chosen?All complete applications will be reviewed by the Donation Committee. After reviewing the research presented on each application form, the committee will select an instrument recipient.
How will I know if we are awarded an Instrument Donation?All applicants will be e-mailed by the end of the award month notifying them if they have or have not been chosen as a recipient. Instrument Recipients will be notified via e-mail and will then be instructed on how to complete the process and receive their instrument.
What accessories are included with the instrument?The
AquaFluor Handheld Fluorometer/Turbidimeter includes two channels, a solid secondary standard, batteries and storage pouch. If you wish to buy additional accessories they can be purchased at the same time or later. A one-year warranty on parts and labor is included with each instrument.
