Turner Designs Providing Fluorometers Specifically Configured to Detect Crude Oil for Tracking the Gulf Oil Spill

: Turner Designs is providing in situ and Laboratory Fluorometers specifically configured to detect Crude Oil for tracking the Gulf Oil spill. Equipment being deployed includes the C3 Submersible Fluorometer, as specified in the USCG SMART protocol; the Cyclops-7 Submersible Crude Oil sensor with the DataBank, our handheld datalogger; and the Trilogy Laboratory Fluorometer for discrete sampling on shipboard. With our standard leadtime of 1-2 weeks, Turner Designs' fluorometers can be deployed quickly to start providing valuable spill tracking information.


Turner Designs Introduces New DataBank Handheld Datalogger

Sunnyvale, CA; May 1, 2009: Turner Designs now offers the DataBank, a universal Handheld Datalogger that can be used with our Cyclops-7 Submersible Sensors as well as analog sensors from other manufacturers. Up to 9,999 records and 16 can be stored and downloaded to a PC. The DataBank has internal memory enabling unattended datalogging at intervals from 1 second to 4 days. Sensor power is provided directly from the DataBank, eliminating the need to connect to external batteries. Designed with the customer in mind, the DataBank's rugged, weather-proof design allows easy one-handed operation. The DataBank can be ordered already configured with a Turner Designs Cyclops-7 sensor or customers can configure the DataBank to work with their own sensors.
