Spreadsheet Interface Software for the 10AU Field Fluorometer

• Version 1.0 TD-install-1_0.zip

NOTE: Two copies of Version 1.0 of the Spreadsheet Interface Software are provided here. They are basically the same, but one is in .zip format; the other one is in .exe format. The .zip format may be more compatible with your organization's Internet security filters.

Download either of these files to your computer. If you choose the .zip copy, you must un-zip it before proceeding (if you do not have the Winzip utility program, you can download it from www.winzip.com). One way or the other, you will get a file called "setup.exe".

Next, un-install any previous versions of this software. To do this:

Click Start: Settings: Control Panel
Double-click the "Add/Remove Programs" icon
Select "Spreadsheet Interface Software" on the list and click the "Add/Remove" button
Click "OK" to exit.

Last, double-click "setup.exe" to begin the installation. Dialog boxes will guide you through the process. When the "Spreadsheet Interface Software" icon appears on your desktop, it is ready to use.

Model 10-AU Internal Data Logger Software, new Windows Version 2.1

The above file is a Windows version program for downloading data from the Internal Data Logger on the Model 10-AU Fluorometer.

Unzip the file to a directory on your hard drive and then double click on the Setup.exe file.

You will need to have "System Administrative" privileges on your computer if you are running Windows NT, 2000 or XP.
If you don't have this privilege, then you will see an error message that says " Could not open the file named Setup.LST".

Otherwise the software installation process will start and then just follow the screen prompts.

AlgaeWatch Internal Datalogger Software

• Version 2.0 AlgaeWatch-Install-2.0.zip

Unzip the file to a directory on your hard drive and then double click on the Setup.exe file located in the disk 1 folder.

You will need to have "System Administrative" privileges on your computer if you are running Windows NT, 2000 or XP.

If you don't have this privilege, then you will see an error message that says " Could not open the file named Setup.LST".

USB Serial Adaptor Cable Information

Currently many of the new computers only have USB ports for Serial communication, they have eliminated the older style 9 pin serial connectors, known as DB9 connectors. Turner Designs still supplies Fluorometers and cables with these DB9 serial connectors. If you want to use the USB port on your computer to connect to our Fluorometers, you will need to purchase one of these USB Serial Adaptor Cables. We have tested a USB Serial Adaptor Cable that is made by the iogear company, Model GUC232A shown in the web links below. Most computer stores should sell a similar item.
