The CyanoFluor has been a critical piece of monitoring technology for us to build our HAB monitoring program around. This will be our third season using this device and it has held up great in the heat, on the boat, and in the field. It is very solidly built, and well-protected in the case that it comes with. This device has saved us significant time in responding to potential algal blooms, and reduced our reliance on state agencies significantly. Instead of being limited by the number of sample bottles provided by the state we can now take as many samples as we like in real time while we're on the boat, which has allowed us to track blooms as they're just beginning. By having this technology and demonstrating it's usefulness, we've been able to acquire other monitoring technology such as wireless field microscopes and AI algal identification tools. I really can't speak highly enough about the CyanoFluor, and have recommended it to many other Riverkeepers and watershed organizations in the Chesapeake region.
